WW I Postal Employees

In 2009, when renovations were being done to the Main Lobby, workmen found a plaque honouring Vancouver Post Office Employees who volunteered for service in WWI.

A search through military records and archives uncovered a great deal of information on many of the  individuals and prompted a search for other employees who served in WWI. The search turned up over 100 names. Jim Bains is in the midst of tracking down descendants of these individuals.

He's found and researched quite a list of the Canada Post employees who served in WW I. Jim also has received a few photos from the descendants of these men. We thank them very much for enriching our tribute to the people who fought for us then.

Names in Red died in service or because of it.
