What a night! 150 members and families gathered at the Continental Seafood Restaurant in Richmond for our annual gala banquet. The volume of noise was high with all the chatter throughout the room. The ten course meal including appetizer trays with a variety of meats, crispy chicken, crab,prawns,beef, vegetable dishes, noodles, fried rice, shrimp soup, and much more was sumptuous.
Al Miller provided an update on his work in Zimbabwe and thanked members for their contributions over the past years. Approximately $800.00 was raised during the banquet through the 50/50 draws, raffle and a special raffle for an authentic BC Lions jersey signed by Lulay.
It was good to see so many people. Following the meal, many stayed to listen to the live music and enjoyed the ballroom dancing.
